Fort Worth Chorale Auditions for the 2026-2027 Season!

The Fort Worth Chorale invites experienced choral singers to audition for the upcoming season. We are a select ensemble dedicated to expressive, high-level choral performance in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Fort Worth Chorale is an all-volunteer, auditioned chorus with a 64-year history of choral singing at a professional level. We are a diverse group with members of different backgrounds and occupations who come from all over the Metroplex and beyond. Rehearsals take place Monday evenings August-April 7:00pm-9:30pm at Cross Church North Richland Hills.

Audition Dates:

Sunday, June 7 - 2:00-5:00pm

Monday, June 8 - 7:00-10:00pm

Auditions take place at Cross Church North Richland Hills by appointment only.

What We’re Looking For

Singers with excellent choral skills:

• Precise intonation

• Confident music reading ability

• Nuanced phrasing and musical sensitivity

• Supported, resonant tone that can be adapted to achieve a cohesive ensemble sound

Rehearsals move at a focused pace, and singers are expected to learn music independently between rehearsals.

Prospective singers are encouraged to listen to this excerpt of the Fort Worth Chorale in performance.
 

Audition Requirements

Please prepare:

• A short solo (classical or comparable style preferred)

• Your voice part from this choral excerpt

The excerpt will be sung a cappella.

 

At the audition, you will also be asked to:

• Vocalize

• Sight-read a short excerpt
