It was just an idea...

...that became a mission...

It became a mission to engage composers of underrepresented cultural

backgrounds to compose choral music for free distribution in

underserved Title One schools. Learn more about our mission. let every voice sing...

The SCP offers free newly composed music to Title One designated middle schools through a no cost membership in its 2022-2023 Consortium.

...a new song.

Composers, we would love for you to apply to join our mission. Each year we will select a new composer to be featured as part of our consortium. The composition is to be scored specifically for middle school voices. The compositional style and text should be culturally relevant to underrepresented groups. Composers will be compensated for their work and, at the conclusion of the one-year membership cycle, will be free to publish their work.
